Children should be given Vitamin supplements, according to advice.

According to recent Government advice, parents should be giving children aged 6 months to 5 years old vitamins and supplements to help boosts their levels of Vitamins A, C and D. However, when asked, only around 35% of parents actually give their children vitamins and supplements in their diet. Common reasons for parents not giving their child Vitamins and supplements included that they had not been advised to do so by a health professional such as a doctor and that they assumed that giving their children a healthy diet was enough to ensure that they have optimal health levels. A lot of parents are confused by the government advice given that it seems slightly unclear and perhaps a little too complex however the government and public bodies are still standing by the basic idea that vitamins should be given to all children. Professor Louis Levy from Public Health England says that all children, aged between six months and five years, should be taking Vitamins A, C and D supplements as a sensible step to ensuring the health and wellbeing of the child; particularly those not eating a balanced diet. At Approved Vitamins we sell a wide range of products specifically designed for the health and wellbeing of children.
