Contains 150mg of R(+)-alpha-lipoic acid per capsule. Common alpha-lipoic acid supplements combine the natural R lipoic acid and the synthetic S lipoic acid. Only the R(+) enantiomer exists in nature; an essential cofactor of our mitochondrial enzyme complexes, the only form the body can synthesize.
